APLDCA - San Francisco District
Greetings from San Francisco! Going strong since 2000, the San Francisco District is closely linked with all of California and the larger family of APLD®—something that became apparent during the 2007 Conference in Pasadena. What additionally became crystal clear during that conference is how San Francisco is leading the greening of designs—from using indigenous plants to resourceful hardscape materials, and ongoing maintenance plans.
Each month when we meet, usually on the third Wednesday of the month, our workshops and meetings provide information and inspiration in this direction. Ongoing events include the seasonal walks at the Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum with renowned photographers, visits to nurseries and built gardens by colleagues, certification workshops, and design salons.
We believe that the greatest beauty of APLD is that we are collaborative rather than competitive, networkers and doers. With this in mind, we look forward to seeing and hearing from you.
