We Need Your Support
Landscape Designers possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various areas of landscape design, management, and installation, and can provide vital services in the prevention of and recovery from the devastating effects of fire, flood and other environmental disasters in residential areas. However, the current CA Landscape Architects Act limits the capacity of Landscape Designers to fully utilize their skills and qualifications in a safe and equitable manner.
APLD California is taking advocating for Landscape Designers' rights by working to enhance the exemptions found in California Business and Professions Code section 5641 in the Landscape Architects Practice Act. We believe the current constraints unfairly limit our profession, and we’ve hired a lobbyist to help us push for meaningful legislative change. This is a critical moment for our industry, and we need your support—whether through financial contributions or volunteering—to ensure our voices are heard. Together, we can work to expand the scope of Landscape Design practice and create a more sustainable, thriving future for our profession. Donate or get involved today to be part of this pivotal effort!
